Program Assistant Job Description

Summary: Learning Support Services is seeking a reliable student employee to provide friendly support through the in-person and virtual front desk duities for the tutoring program as well as a variety of other program responsibilites for the Winter 2024 semester. 

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Friendly customer service demeanor 
  • Must be an undergraduate student (first-year students welcomed)
  • Must be able to make a minimum of 2 semester commitment
  • Evening and weekend hours preferred (for fall semester)
  • College Work-Study preferred 
  • Shifts scheduled in 3-7 hour blocks must remain consistent for the semester 

Responsiblities:

  • Monitor tutoring website to ensure tutoring appointments are being checked in and completed appropriately
  • Use google voice to send appointment reminders, make calls to students and tutors regarding appointment status and more
  • Assist students and tutors with booking, cancelling, and connecting to tutoring appointments and other campus services
  • Take detailed notes regarding all communications and issues and regularly updating in a shared throughout shift
  • Become knowledgeable about program policies and uphold them
  • Attend and complete virtual training with PAL Program Coordinator
  • Meet weekly with PAL Program Coordinator
