Academic Stress Support Groups

Open to both undergraduate and graduate students, these group sessions are designed to offer students a confidential, safe space to practice academic stress management techniques. The groups are facilitated by an experienced Specialist who prepares the focus of each session with the individual goals of the members in mind. The topics discussed during groups will vary depending on group member's needs. 

Examples of topics discussed during past Academic Stress Support Groups include but are not limited to

  • meditation and reflection to de-stress
  • self-efficacy and attribution theory
  • the practice of flow state
  • creating morning and night-time routines
  • mindfulness
  • managing time and increasing productivity to reduce stress
  • the importance of sleep and nutrition in managing academic stress

During Winter 2022, Academic Stress Support Groups will be held every other Tuesday at 1pm on Zoom. Dates and times are below. Depending on future circumstances, in-person groups may be offered. If so, in-person dates will be indicated.

Bi-weekly Tuesdays, 1-2pm on Zoom during the following dates:

  • April 19th
