FYS 1010: Just 1 credit can pave the way for the next 119

FYS 1010 is an interactive, study skills-based course that prepares students to manage the rigor of university-level learning. The research-based study strategies taught in FYS 1010 include (but are not limited to) the following areas:

· Time-management

· Memory and comprehension

· Study planning

· Exam-prep/test-anxiety reduction

· Stress-management

· Financial literacy

· Concentration improvement

Investing just 50 minutes per week in this course can save students countless hours of ineffective study their first year and beyond.

Through course discussions, activities, and a common reading experience, students will develop awareness of their evolving identity as university students.

*Be sure to let your advisor know you want to register for FYS 1010 at New Student Orientation.
