Employment Requirements for Tutors
Qualifications for Tutors:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
- Must have earned minimum of B+ in any supported course
- Must be committed to tutoring lower division courses
- Enrolled at Wayne State University for at least two semesters (fall and winter; spring/summer count as one semester)
- 2 letters of recommendation from current faculty members (not TAs) at Wayne State University
- Strong background in the subject area you will tutor
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Participate in a screening interview
- Complete a tutor training program
