Employment Requirements for Peer Mentors (Comerica Scholars)
The Academic Success Center is looking to hire Success Coaches for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Success Coaches will mentor a group of first-year students by helping them transition from high school to college. Success Coaches provide academic, social, and personal guidance. Success Coaches typically manage a caseload of 6 students and are expected to meet with them in person on a bi-weekly basis. It is a great opportunity to be a helping hand to new students!
Qualified Applicants have:
· 3.4 overall GPA in current undergraduate courses
· Junior standing
· Ability to work a max 10 hrs per week in fall and winter
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Strong leadership skills
· Strong desire to help students
